This is Al Maha, a unique holiday concept on the outskirts of Dubai,
owned, developed and managed by Emirates - an exciting new project
in the Dubai Government's strategy to enhance the Emirate's growing
reputation as the Middle East's premier leisure destination.
Animal reintroduction indigenous and
endangered species. The resort, being developed at a cost of US$16
million and scheduled to open by 15 March 1999, will enable visitorsto
stay in luxury accommodation in the middle of a nature reserve featuring
a wide variety of indigenous Arabian flora and fauna.

You will be greeted personally by your own dedicated hostes in the
cool of spacious central building's maze of delightful rooms, and
offered the tribal welcome of dates, Arabic coffee and delicately
blended fruit juices.
The space is unhurried, and so at
your leisure, the delights of the main areas are revealed to you.
The serene library with its beautiful books, daily magazines and
newspapers, antiques and informative artworks, the ladies and men's
majlis(traditional arabic place), with their fascinating antiques.
The lounge and veranda, where you
can take tea in the afternoon , or sit and watch the animals at
the nearby waterhole through field glasses at dusk.
But your arrival is just a beginning, and our warm hospitality extends
beyond a welcome.
Al Maha's two Royal Suites promise
a hedonistic mix of luxury, space and authentic Bedouin artistry.
The spacious lounge, graced with Arabian antiques and handcrafted
furnishings, links the suite's two bedrooms, with their dreamy tented
roof structures, teak beds and magnificent marble and stone bathrooms.
The Royal suites, along with the
even larger and self-contained Owner's Suite, enjoy privileged positions
in their own grounds. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer panoramic views
over the desert and the Hajar Mountains. And each day, your private
temperature-controlled pool will tempt you onto your expansive veranda-to
bathe, to muse, and to drink in the beauty that surrounds you.

At Al Maha all meals are inclusive, and our aim is to make every one
of them pleasurable for you. Whether it's breakfast in your suite,
a buffet lunch in the dining room, or a picnic for your safari, you
will sense a personal and natural attentiveness and care.
Relaxed informality tends to be the
prevailing mood, Many guests like to enjoy a sundowner on the bar's
terrace,
Al Maha's elegent dining room, with
its high palm frond ceiling and lovely, perfectly sets off our five-star
cuisine. Here, Mediterranean dishes like osso buco, sea bass, gnocchi
fiorentina compete for your palate with traditional Middle Eastern
delights such as tabouleh, khofta, felafel, tagines. Fine wines
from around the world add to the pleasure.

barbecues in a lush oasis are tremendous fun. Snacks in the poolside
retreat can be as elaborate as a mezze, or as simple as a sandwich.
